Yosemite in the fall!!! We had our eye on getting up and down Half Dome with two overnight camps at Little Yosemite to make it a an enjoyable weekend trip. However, the God of Permits was not in a gracious mood and struck down our well-meaning stand-in-line early-morning attempt. So we opted to make the best of it in one of the crown jewels of the National Park system. George and John decided for a one-day attempt and I bid them farewell, went back to sleep and got up to explore the valley and Toulumne Meadows. It was the perfect day for both activities and the results can be seen below.
